The data we collect from monitoring Colorado’s surface waters includes temperature information. We collect in-stream temperature data to:
- Determine ambient stream water quality.
- Assess physical/biological health of the stream.
- Develop and revise water quality standards.
- Assess trends and determine whether applicable water quality standards are being met.
