Solid Waste Waivers Due to COVID 19 impacts
Solid waste disposal sites and recycling facilities may request waivers from design and operational requirements in the solid waste regulations. The Solid Waste and Materials Management will prioritize the review of waiver requests related to COVID 19 impacts on solid waste facilities.
Facility operators should reach out to their local governing body and to the solid waste permitting or materials management staff as soon as a potential compliance issue arises to figure out if waivers from regulatory requirements are possible, or necessary.
