Governor Polis Signs Backflow Prevention Devices Requirements into Law

On March 28, 2025, Governor Polis signed HB25-1077, a law regarding Backflow Prevention Device Requirements. This new legislation allows certified cross-connection control technicians to inspect, test, and repair backflow prevention devices. The division encourages water suppliers to implement their Backflow and Cross-Connection Control Programs (BPCCC) by using these certified technicians to ensure that the devices effectively protect public health.
