Option to bank early action credits
Automakers wanting to bank early action credits chose one of the following options by January 1, 2021.
Automakers who did not choose one of these options by this date were automatically assigned Option 1.
- Option 1: A manufacturer may meet no more than 36 percent of its combined 2023-2025 model year ZEV credit obligation using credits per Regulation 20, Part C, Section V.B.
- Option 2:
- A manufacturer may meet no more than 23 percent of its combined 2023-2025 model year ZEV credit obligation using credits per Regulation 20, Part C, Section V.B.
- Early ZEV Credits: A manufacturer may earn credits for 2021 and 2022 model year TZEVs and ZEVs, including BEVXs and FCEVs, produced and delivered for sale in Colorado.
- A manufacturer may meet no more than 23 percent of its combined 2023-2025 model year ZEV credit obligation using credits per Regulation 20, Part C, Section V.B.
