Air Quality Control Commission

The Colorado Air Quality Control Commission is appointed by the governor and authorized by the Colorado General Assembly to oversee Colorado’s air quality program according to the Colorado Air Pollution Prevention and Control Act, Section 25-7-101 et seq., C.R.S., as amended. The purpose of the commission is to adopt a cost-effective and efficient air quality management program that promotes clean and healthy air for Colorado's citizens and visitors, protect Colorado's scenic and natural resources, and promotes statewide greenhouse gas pollution abatement.

Commission Meetings Effective November 1, 2022

As Colorado begins to re-open from COVID-19, the Commission may re-establish conducting meetings at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in its entirety or structured as a hybrid meeting. Every meeting is different, specific details for each meeting may be found in the monthly meeting agenda including Zoom registration links to participate remotely.

The next Monthly Commission meeting is scheduled: April 19-21, 2023

Next Executive Committee meeting is scheduled: Thursday, March 23, 2023 to begin at 8:00 a.m. as an online meeting only. Executive Committee meetings are used to discuss the next month's agenda and logistics of the meeting. Members of the public are welcome to attend however public comments are not taken during this meeting. Please contact the commission office at cdphe.aqcc-comments@state.co.us if you would like to attend the Executive Committee meeting.
