Colorado will distribute funds using several programs that are already in place through our partner agencies. The existing programs have been modified to fulfill the goals and requirements of the trust and each program.
Zero Emission Vehicle Supply Equipment Program
Electric Vehicle Direct Current Fast-Charging Plaza Program - The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) anticipates opening a funding round in 2024. The dates have yet to be determined.
Diesel Emission Reduction Act (DERA) - (Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but funding is limited.)
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has contracted with Clean Energy Economy for the Region (CLEER), a Carbondale-based nonprofit, to manage the Colorado’s DERA State Grant Program, including projects funded under the DERA option of the trust.. This program focuses on the replacement of heavy duty diesel nonroad equipment with electric equipment.
