This board reviews individual case findings of the at least 43 local and regional child fatality prevention review teams across Colorado and creates a report based on those findings to make specific recommendations regarding systemic trends across the state to prevent future child deaths.
Established by the Child Fatality Prevention Act of 2013 (C.R.S 25-20.5-401), the Child Fatality Prevention System (CFPS) State Review Team is charged with reviewing individual case findings of the 43 local and regional child fatality prevention review teams across Colorado and creating a report based on those findings to make specific recommendations regarding systemic trends across the state to prevent future child deaths.
