On June 30, 2020, Governor Polis signed into law Senate Bill 20-204, Additional Resources to Protect Air Quality. The enterprise, through the department and contractors, conducts:
- science-based, unbiased air quality modeling and monitoring, and
- provides emission mitigation services.

Purpose:
This Request for Information (RFI) is issued to solicit information from Air Quality Enterprise (AQE) fee payers, scientists, public health experts, engineers with air quality expertise, and other interested stakeholders to help define the scope for a potential request for proposal to aggregate, integrate, and improve public accessibility to diverse air quality datasets across Colorado by creating and maintaining a publicly available Colorado Air Quality Data Center (CAQDC), which would support public access to comprehensive datasets, such as emissions, activity, and ambient monitoring data, necessary for research and communication related to air quality in Colorado.

Executive Summary
This project supports activities to reduce ozone (O3) pollution by conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the Colorado State Implementation Plan (SIP) emission inputs and model results. The project will create an evaluation platform that provides access to a range of observations, including satellite products, and makes SIP results and relevant observations more easily accessible to air quality managers as well as the public.
