Waste tire management, fees, funds and grants
Note: Due to the establishment of the Waste Tire Enterprise Fee by the Waste Tire Management Enterprise Board, the waste tire fee on new motor vehicle and trailer tires will increase from $0.50/tire to $2.00/tire effective January 1, 2026. Fee collection will continue on a quarterly basis.
Please note that the Return Form and payment for October, November, and December 2025 (fourth quarter) for the $0.50 fee is due by January 20, 2026.
Online training waste tire fee filing requirements
We will be hosting optional outreach meetings on November 18th and December 16th at 10am MST to discuss the fee changes with all fee payers and remitters. These sessions will provide an opportunity to address your questions and concerns directly.
