The state offers free mammograms to help Coloradans stay up to date on a life-saving cancer test

(REMOTE) October 27, 2022: In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the State of Colorado is encouraging Coloradans to stay up to date on mammograms so they can find breast cancer early when it’s easiest to treat. Life-saving mammograms are available for free to individuals who qualify through the Women’s Wellness Connection program, which operates at more than 100 clinics across the state.

The Front Range Waste Diversion enterprise releases seventh grant funding opportunity with up to $4M in funding for Community Zero Waste recycling and recovery projects

REMOTE (October 13, 2022): The Front Range Waste Diversion Enterprise and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment are pleased to announce their seventh grant cycle to support projects with significant waste diversion impacts in the Front Range of Colorado. Eligible applicants include government agencies, private companies (haulers, remanufacturers, material recycling facilities, etc.), educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations. 

Health department to develop framework for oversight of oil and gas greenhouse gas emission reductions 

Air Pollution Control Division seeks input to track and verify oil and gas emissions 

REMOTE (October 4, 2022): The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Air Pollution Control Division is gathering input on new oversight requirements for oil and gas production sites. The division will include the requirements in a rulemaking to verify that operators are reducing emissions to meet new greenhouse gas intensity standards.
