State issues cease and desist order for Prospect Energy Krause site

Health department cites risk to public welfare

REMOTE (August 25): The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Air Pollution Control Division is ordering Prospect Energy to immediately cease operations at its Krause site north of Fort Collins because of repeated violations that endanger public welfare. The division’s decision comes after it exhausted other options to correct those violations, including initiating several enforcement actions.

CDPHE adds Multidisciplinary Center on Aging at the University of Colorado as a Recognized Health Navigator Training Program

Denver, (August 22, 2022): The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is pleased to add the Multidisciplinary Center on Aging at the University of Colorado as a Recognized Health Navigator Training Program. Recognized programs must demonstrate that their training curricula meet the entry-level core competencies for individuals to become credentialed health navigators in Colorado.

Environmental Justice Action Task Force to hold hybrid public meetings in Grand Junction

REMOTE (Aug. 19, 2022): The Environmental Justice Action Task Force will hold its fifth public meeting on Aug. 25 in Grand Junction. The Task Force has conducted meetings in communities to ensure they are accessible, meeting people where they are, and friendly to the public. All are welcome to attend the meetings either in-person or join online.  The group chose to meet in Grand Junction to engage communities on the Western Slope and in rural areas outside the Front Range.
