Local public health agencies and members of the public who need access to sterile syringes and other harm reduction services can contact the access programs listed below. The goal of syringe service programs is to reduce harms associated with drug use including injection-related health risks and overdose. A Colorado pharmacist or pharmacy technician may also sell a nonprescription syringe or needle to any person.
