Certification program staff conduct on-site inspections of environmental testing laboratories every two years to evaluate compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Manual for the Certification of Laboratories Analyzing Drinking Water. Approved laboratory testing may include chemistry, radiochemistry and/or microbiology.
