Drinking water lab certification

Laboratories testing Colorado public drinking water must be certified. To begin the certification process, complete the laboratory certification application, save, and email to thomas.lill@state.co.us 

Certification program staff conduct on-site inspections of environmental testing laboratories every two years to evaluate compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Manual for the Certification of Laboratories Analyzing Drinking Water. Approved laboratory testing may include chemistry, radiochemistry and/or microbiology.

Environmental laboratories may be accredited following the laboratory criteria set forth by the United States Environmental Protection Agency
