Evidential Breath Alcohol Testing (EBAT) documents

Colorado’s EBAT program is governed by rules for testing alcohol and other drugs. The rules are established by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and approved by the Colorado Board of Health.

Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Devices (BAIID)

The department approves ignition interlock devices that are used in vehicles driven by individuals who are required to install one to maintain their Colorado license.

The Colorado Office of Policy, Research and Regulatory Reform is currently conducting a sunset review of the Evidential Breath Testing Cash Fund.  Analysis is performed to determine if the Cash Fund is necessary and should be continued, modified, or repealed.  To provide input on this review, please visit COPRRR's website.
