The Health Disparities and Community Grant Program was created to "address prevention, early detection, and treatment of cancer and cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases to underrepresented populations; and to positively affect social determinants of health to reduce the risk of future disease and exacerbating health disparities in underrepresented populations." (CRS 25-4 2203 (1)).
