Patients are people whose physician determines they should receive X-rays where they are located rather than be transported to a stationary X-ray provider, such as a doctor’s office.
Services include:
- Diagnostic imaging ordered by a physician for patients in their place of residence, such as their own home or a nursing home.
- Portable X-rays also may be provided in a hospital that doesn't provide X-rays directly.
The x-ray services can't be fixed at any location or permanently located in a skilled nursing home or hospital.
Professional staff who are routinely available are x-ray technologists.
