  • 24/7 inpatient services for people with multiple acute or chronic care conditions who need, on average, a stay of more than 25 days.

  • Examples:

    • Patients who need ventilator support.

    • Patients who have a failure of two or more major organ systems.

    • Patients who have complex wound care.
