The RFA #40802 CCPD Grant Funding application period closed on September 15, 2022 at 5 p.m. MT.
On July 15, 2022, the Cancer Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Disease (CCPD) Grant Program at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) released a request for applications (RFA) to fund programs for the prevention, early detection, and treatment of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and chronic pulmonary disease.

The Cancer, Cardiovascular, and Pulmonary Disease (CCPD) Review Committee led the selection process for the program’s Long-Term Funding Framework (LTFF), guiding future grantmaking decisions.
- From 2024-2025, the program completed a structured, multi-phase process to identify high-impact strategies aligned with CCPD’s mission, values, goals, and priority populations. This transparent, evidence-informed approach engaged program staff, subject matter experts, interns, and leadership. Strategies were screened using minimum criteria and evaluated across domains such as community support, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and capacity.
- The final tiered strategy recommendations were discussed and adopted at the July 11, 2025, Review Committee meeting and will guide funding decisions in future CCPD grant cycles.
