Respiratory virus immunization data

This dashboard provides Colorado coverage estimates for respiratory virus season immunizations in Colorado. CDPHE updates the dashboard based on current data in the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS). The dashboard updates every Wednesday with data from up to two weeks ago. For example, for data published on Wednesday, December 18, the most recent week displayed on the dashboard is the week ending December 7th.

Coverage estimates are calculated using a numerator and denominator. Numerators are based on the number of Colorado residents who have received the specified respiratory virus season immunization based on data reported to CIIS.

Denominators are based on the number of Colorado residents in CIIS as of July 1. To correct for record fragmentation and outdated address information in CIIS, records are included in the denominator based on their age group and the date of their most recent vaccination in CIIS. Infants younger than nine months are included if they have had at least two non-flu and non-COVID visits. Children nine months through nine years old are included if they have received at least one vaccine when they were older than 24 days. Those 10 through 19 years old are included if they have received at least one vaccine in the past five years. Adults 20 years and older are included if they have received at least one vaccine in the past 10 years.
