CCWP - Certification for operators from other states
Eligibility criteria
- Out-of-state operators must meet the requirements in Board Policy 13-1: Policy Regarding Applicants Holding Certificates From Other Certifying Entities.
- Operators who have taken a Colorado-comparable examination may be eligible for Colorado certification without examination.
- Operators who have taken custom examinations may be allowed to by-pass Colorado's sequential testing requirement.
- Out-of-state operators must meet Colorado's education and experience requirements for the requested certification category and level at the time of application.
Application process
- The process:
- Log in to the CCWP Portal.
- User ID will be a unique email address.
- Applications will be reviewed in approximately 10 business days.
- An email will be sent to the applicant with notification of the reviewer's decision and instructions for next steps.
Appeal rights
- Applicants have the right to appeal decisions of the board's contractor to the Water and Wastewater Facility Operators Certification Board (Board).
- Appeals should be submitted in writing to the Board office, cdphe.wwfocb@state.co.us,within 30 days of the contractor's decision.
- Appeals must detail the subject matter of the appeal and the grounds for the appeal.
