Information on RFP # 2024000001, Ozone Related Research
Seeking an organization to conduct research related to ozone pollution, including but not limited to, work to improve the ozone State Implementation Plan (SIP) and ozone precursor emissions characterization. Although proposals submitted in response to this RFP will be evaluated on how they will improve the State’s ozone planning efforts, offerors are encouraged to discuss - and may receive bonus points (ranging from 1 to 5) for measurable benefits to disproportionately impacted communities and/or for providing co-benefits by minimizing air toxics or reducing greenhouse gas emissions as a result of the proposed project. Eligible proposals must be focused on addressing ozone issues within the Denver/North Front Range area.

Colorado Air Quality Enterprise Ozone - Related Research
The Air Quality Enterprise Board selected the following projects to receive funding under the first round of funding for the Ozone-Related Research RFP:
National Center for Atmospheric Research
Project title: Comprehensive Evaluation of SIP Modeling and Emission Inputs
Current funding amount: $340,248
This project supports activities to reduce ozone (O3) pollution by conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the Colorado State Implementation Plan (SIP) emission inputs and model results. The project will create an evaluation platform that provides access to a range of observations, including satellite products, and makes SIP results and relevant observations more easily accessible to air quality managers as well as the public.
A second round of Ozone-Related research RFP is anticipated to reopen in late January, 2024. Updates will be posted to this webpage as information becomes available.
