We will send your results either through email or by mail using the U.S. Postal Service as soon as tests are complete and data is approved. Be sure that your email address is spelled correctly and legibly on the requisition form. If you have not received your test results within the expected sample testing time frame, email cdphe_labcoordinators@state.co.us.
Understanding your results
Use the private well water interactive tool to help you understand your results. If you have questions about your test results, email cdphe_chemistry@state.co.us and specify the chemistry topic in the email subject line.
Turnaround times
Results for regular testing will be available within 28 days. Results for expedited testing will be available within 14 days. Customers who order packages that include coliform testing will receive two separate reports: A report for coliform and a second report for all remaining testing. All coliform results are sent in 48 hours but will not include the remaining results. The remaining results will be available in the second report within the 28-day time frame.
Testing turnaround time depends on what test is performed.

- Escherichia coli, most probable number (MPN)
- Total coliform, membrane filtration (MF)
The following analytes have a turnaround time of 72 hours:
