I am so appreciative to Diana for sharing her story with us. Please everyone, feel free to share your questions. 00:58:27 Felice Seigneur - CDPHE: Yes, thank you for sharing your story Diana! 01:03:54 Hannah McHargue: So many people are just waiting on the question to be asked 01:07:03 Michael Lott-Manier - CDPHE: Thank you for this great question, Jay, and thank you Diana for your insights. Some quick thoughts: 1) Questions like this are a great opportunity to reach out to people with lived experience who you serve and on staff. 3) Universal screening is the standard of care we want to achieve, screening approaches can be opportunities to affirm core values and engage people / show care. 01:07:24 Desiree Lipka: Jay, Staff has to be able to ask the question if client is suicidal. Asking about self-harm is a very different question. People can say they are not thinking of self harm because they are planning to kill themselves not harm themselves. 01:13:03 McPherson, Shannon: thank you Diana your story is powerful! 01:15:51 Diana: You are very welcome! I did want to address that comment from Desiree about the question of self harm being different then the question of being suicidal, is very important! Many times I was asked if I was planning on hurting myself, when they really meant was I suicidal...so I do think they are different and the question should be asked directly. 01:16:28 Amber Berenz: Thank you all!
