Newborn hearing committees and meetings
The Colorado Infant Hearing Advisory Committee provides recommendations to hospitals, health care institutions, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the public concerning newborn hearing screening methodologies, guidelines for reporting, and the means to assure that identified children receive referrals for appropriate follow-up services.
This committee meets quarterly, and subcommittees temporarily convene.
These sessions are for health care providers who have questions or need assistance using our reporting portal.
Currently, these sessions are offered quarterly.
This interagency group facilitates multi-agency collaboration in Colorado between the Colorado departments of Public Health and Environment, Human Services, Early Childhood, and Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind.
The committee currently meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month, with a public comment/Q & A section open from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m.
The Colorado EHDI Alliance is an informal group developed by the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) under their HRSA EHDI grant to gather information from Colorado’s EHDI community on task force for areas such as screening, evaluation, intervention, Deaf and hard of hearing adults, and more.

- The last meeting was on June 4, 2025. CDPHE staff have been informed that they will hold their next meeting on Tuesday, July 29 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
- Children's Hospital Colorado is in charge of all arrangements for these meetings. Please contact them if you would like to attend and require ASL interpretation or would like an agenda or minutes from this meeting.
