In person and online meeting taking place in Farmington on Sept. 21 & 22, 2022
FARMINGTON — The Four Corners Air Quality Group is hosting its annual meeting on September 21 and 22 at San Juan College School of Energy in-person with the option of virtually participating online. The meeting will be held each day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will offer updates on climate and air quality issues affecting the region. The first day will focus on climate actions and environmental justice, and the second day will focus on various air quality topics including criteria pollutants, monitoring data trends, and regional haze plans.
Members of the public are invited and encouraged to participate in this free event. Meeting documents will be available in the September 2022 Meeting Documents section of the Four Corners Air Quality Group homepage. Virtual attendance registration and other meeting information is also available on the New Mexico Environment Department’s Event Calendar. In-person attendees do not need to register in advance.
Originally convened as the Four Corners Air Quality Task Force over a decade ago, the group meets regularly to provide updates on air quality topics relevant to the region. The states of New Mexico and Colorado oversee the Group with other participating agencies including the Navajo Nation Environmental Protection Agency; the Southern Ute Indian Tribe’s Air Quality Program; the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service; the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service; the U.S. Department of Energy; and the state of Utah.
