Updated: July 21, 2025
Question 1: The Request for Applications for Grant Cycle #3 states: “It is anticipated that $2,000,000 will be available for the budget period for state fiscal year 2026/2027, dependent upon annual appropriation and spending authority, pending annual approval by the Colorado State Legislature.” Can we apply for more than $2,000,000?
Answer: Yes. You may apply for the amount of funding applicable and eligible under the grant program. In the event the amount of funds requested in pending applications for Grant Cycle #3 exceed available grant funds, complete applications will be reviewed for priority per Section 19.4.5 and Section 19.4.6 of the Colorado Solid Waste Regulations.
Question 2: Can we apply for scope that was in a previously approved application but not reimbursed for?
Answer 2: Yes. It is understood that work may be delayed for various reasons and the schedule may have changed since applying for previous funding. Please provide adequate backup for all costs and an explanation of any duplicated costs from previously approved applications. Reimbursement for an activity will only occur once.
Question 3: If we applied for a previous grant cycle and are planning to apply for the current grant cycle, do we need to re-submit Attachment F: Financial risk assessment questionnaire?
Answer 3: Yes, a new financial risk assessment questionnaire needs to be completed for each individual application.
