Air quality and health: Community studies
Additional studies for air quality and health are conducted in specific areas. When deciding the feasibility of additional studies, the department considers:
- Availability and quality of data.
- Community concerns.
- Estimated levels of air pollution, including estimates produced by EPA AirToxScreen.

Oil and gas
The Oil and Gas Health Information and Response Program (OGHIR) follows up on all reports of health concerns from community members living near oil and gas activity. Some concerns result in community investigations.
