Community Action and Engagement

The Community Action and Engagement Unit (CA&E) is composed of nine Regional Coordinators and five Disproportionately Affected Populations (DAP) Liaisons who are charged with community outreach and engagement. The team’s goal is to ensure that all Coloradans have access to adequate health care services and resources to improve health and well-being.  They do this by creating regional- and population-specific support networks that aim to advance health equity and address social determinants of health.  

If you answer “YES” to any or all of the questions below, contact the Regional Coordinator located in your region or a DAP Liaison. Our team is thrilled to help you learn more about a variety of opportunities available to you, your organization, and your community.  

  • Is your organization a trusted partner in the provision of services for people experiencing homelessness (PEH), those in congregate settings, people living with disabilities (PLWD), or the LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC communities, such as the African-American/Black and Latino/a/x communities?
  • Would you like to host an equity-focused mobile vaccine clinic at your organization or within your community?
  • Do you have opportunities in your community where CDPHE can support you and your region’s government or public health leaders in the provision of equitable health services?
  • Does your community need public health resources?
