Colorado School Nurse Grant Program

 

The Colorado School Nurse Grant Program increases K-12 school nursing services through the recruitment and retention of qualified school nurses. Since its launch in 2020, all available funding under the original Request for Applications (RFA 30109) has been dispersed to the following eleven current recipients of the Colorado School Nurse Grant Program: 

Alamosa School District

Eagle County Schools

Hayden School District

Holly School District

La Veta School District

Moffat #2 Consolidated School District

Mountain Valley School District

Norwood Public Schools

Sargent School District

Upper Rio Grande School District

Vilas School District

Expanded Colorado School Nurse Grant Program

In 2022, the Colorado General Assembly passed Senate Bill 22-226, expanding the current School Nurse Grant Program. The program expansion provides funding to increase access to school nursing professions through the recruitment and retention of qualified school nurses by providing annual grant awards to eligible applicants.

The Primary Care Office is pleased to announce this new funding opportunity under an open Request for Applications (RFA) #41201.

Who Should Apply

The purpose of the Expanded School Nurse Grant Program RFA is to solicit applications from eligible school districts, boards of cooperative services, and charter schools committed to increasing K-12 school nursing services in Colorado.

Application Due Date

Applications must be submitted as indicated in the RFA no later than March 1, 2023 to be considered for the first funding cohort. Future application dates under this open RFA will be posted on this website.
