Baby & You 2023 birth cohort survey data
Description of data
Data are currently available for Surveys 1 (3-4 months postpartum) and 2 (12 months postpartum) for the 2023 birth cohort, and data collection is underway for Survey 3 (24 months postpartum).
Survey 1 data collection began for the 2023 birth cohort in June of 2023 with January 2023 births and closed in May 2024 with December 2023 births. Data collection for Survey 2 began in January 2024 when the children of participants who gave birth in 2023 began to turn one and closed in February of 2025.
The majority of participants completed Survey 1 between 3-4 months postpartum. However, the start of data collection was slightly delayed, so January and February births were more likely to complete the survey at 4-5 months postpartum. Of the 3,313 postpartum people who gave birth in 2023 who were invited to join Health eMoms, 1,549 (47%) enrolled and 1,531 (46%) completed Survey 1.
Participants completed Survey 2 between 12-14 months postpartum--with the majority completing it between 12 and 13 months postpartum. Of the 3,313 postpartum people who gave birth in 2023 who were invited to join Baby & You, 1,549 (47%) enrolled. Of those who enrolled, 999 (64.5%) completed Survey 2. Although you will see the unweighted counts for different subpopulations within these tables so that the viewer can get an idea of sample population sizes, all percentages and confidence intervals are weighted to represent the full eligible Colorado birth population in 2023.
